Students of the University of Denver are not unfamiliar with the construction that has been going on around campus. From small, tandem units, to giant (500ft) apartment complexes, and even multimillion dollar school buildings, the university area is evolving from the three-to-four bedroom college suburb into a modern extension of downtown Denver.
The city of Denver is growing and massive complexes as these are helping to sponge the population. Since 2010 the census has determined that Colorado’s population has grown 6.5 percent, which includes Denver which between 2014 and 2015 was the ninth fastest growing city.
With big projects come big jobs.
Sites like RK Mechanical’s on 2460 S University Blvd require more than 200 workers on site before the completion of the project.
Oliver Cesario, a foreman on RK mechanicals site describes that the timeline of these giant buildings can stretch over two years.
